Statements from Hal Bunderson
Idaho State Senator (Republican) 1993 – 2006
Why I, a Republican, support Keith Allred for Idaho’s Governor:
I am troubled that Idaho’s education systems and economy are in the worst shape they have been for decades.
Certain public policies and conflicts between Idaho’s political leaders have exacerbated the effects of the national and global financial meltdown on Idaho’s economy.
In this environment of internal conflict and stress, Keith Allred offers Idaho citizens a better way. If you evaluate Keith as though you were hiring a chief executive for your business, which you are, you would find Keith’s credentials and resume for the job of Governor impeccable. In addition to the excellent example of his life, the following nine qualities establish him as the best candidate for Idaho’s Governor:
- His pro-business goals are to promote quality jobs and establish effective, efficient, fair and reliable government policies and systems.
- His academic and business experience in performing a disciplined evaluation of long-term probable consequences of decisions before recommending action is central to his approach to problem solving.
- He uses proven methodologies to elicit public involvement in search for the best answers (similar to that used by “The Common Interest.”).
- He is experienced and skilled in bringing people together to resolve conflicts.
- He rejects extreme right and left approaches, he will govern from the center.
- Keith places principle above party.
- He is pro-family, a fiscal and social conservative.
- His family and agricultural roots run deep in Idaho (Fifth generation Idahoan).
- His educational credentials and training are remarkably superior.
If we as voters objectively look to the relative merits and credentials of the competing candidates for Governor, I believe you will agree that Keith Allred is the best-qualified gubernatorial candidate to lead Idaho through these troubled times.
