The Allred for Idaho campaign is pleased to announce a series of forums with Keith Allred, candidate for governor.
The free events, dubbed “For The People: A Town Hall with Keith Allred” are moderated question-and-answer sessions for Idahoans from across the political spectrum.
“When you run for governor, you’re not running to be governor of Republicans or Democrats or a particular special interest group,” said Allred. “It's supposed to be government by, for and of the people. That's been the driving passion of my whole life.”
At each event, Allred will be joined by a moderator and volunteers who will collect questions from the audience for Allred to answer onstage.
The free events will run throughout the next few months and more will be added as demand and time allow.
The first one is set for Sandpoint, on Monday, July 19. Allred will be at the Sandpoint Community Hall at 6:30 p.m.
Additional town halls include Boise, on Thursday, July 22. Allred will be welcoming the public at The Egyptian Theatre in downtown Boise at 6:30 p.m. Allred will be in Nampa for a town hall on August 10, and in Lewiston on August 26.
Keith Allred is a fifth-generation Idahoan who grew up working on his family’s ranches. He has been the leader of The Common Interest, a citizens’ advocate group that helped lower property taxes and fight proposals to raise car and pickup registration fees.
