Campaign begins statewide tour
Starting in Rexburg, Keith Allred, his family and friends are now on a statewide tour dubbed “The Low Taxes, Strong Schools Tour.”
The multi-day tour begins in eastern Idaho and takes in the Magic Valley today.
Along the way, Allred will be telling voters not to believe the junk mail they’re getting from special-interest cronies of Butch Otter, and will ask voters to consider a leader with a real plan for lowering taxes for Idahoans and building stronger schools.
“Butch Otter has a problem. I'm the candidate who has a plan to cut taxes for everyday Idahoans,” Allred said. “He's the one who tried to raise taxes.”
The tour takes in Rexburg, Idaho Falls, Preston and Pocatello before heading to Twin Falls tonight.
And: there will be ice cream. The tour will stop in at Reed’s Dairy in Idaho Falls during the lunch hour today.
A full schedule of today’s tour stops is available on the “Events” page at allredforidaho.com. Tour updates will be posted to the Allred for Idaho Facebook page.
After events in the Treasure Valley over the weekend, the tour heads north on Monday, November 1. Keith Allred and his family will start the day in Bonners Ferry before making stops in Sandpoint, Coeur d’Alene, Moscow, Lewiston and Grangeville.
Keith Allred is a fifth-generation Idahoan who grew up working on his family’s ranches. He has been the leader of The Common Interest, a citizens’ advocate group that helped lower property taxes and fight proposals to raise car and pickup registration fees.
